Volcanos National Park

Situated in the far northwest of Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range – home of the endangered mountain gorilla and a rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp, and heath.

Akagera National Park

Akagera National Park Rwanda is found in North Eastern Rwanda, at the country’s border with Tanzania. It is dominated by swamps and small lakes with the flow in the wake of River Kagera. The network of water sources and unique landscape together create very spectacular scenery

Rubavu

The gateway to that great speck of blue that is Lake Kivu, sitting amidst the verdant hills and mountains of the Albertine Rift Valley, Rubavu is where the African jungles cascade down grassy hills in sporadic bouts of palm trees and exotic cassias.

Kibuye

Surely one of the most handsome towns in all of Rwanda, it’s surrounded by high hills that come dressed in wisps of mist by morning and offer sweeping views of the lake waters and the islands by afternoon.

Kigali Genocide Memorial

A permanent National genocide memorial in remembrance of more than one million victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. A memorial is a place of remembrance and learning where more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide have been laid to rest.

Nyanza

The administrative capital of the Southern Province, Nyanza is the eighth largest city in Rwanda. The main attraction of the region lies in its cultural heritage, which undoubtedly merits a stopover en route to Nyungwe National Park.

Kibeho

Kibeho Parish has been a global pilgrimage destination for Roman Catholics since the Virgin Mary appeared on 28th November 1981. The focal point is Kibeho Church, where the faithful receive Holy Communion.

Nyungwe National Park

One of the oldest rainforests in Africa, Nyungwe is rich in biodiversity and spectacularly beautiful. The mountainous region is teaming with wildlife, including a small population of chimpanzees as well as 12 other species of primate, including L’Hoest’s monkey endemic to the Albertine Rift.

National Museum of Rwanda

A gift from Belgium’s King Badouin in the late 1980s, the Ethnographic Museum now houses one of Africa’s finest ethnographic collections.

Seven galleries display historical, ethnographic, artistic, and archaeological artifacts accompanied by visual aides, giving visitors a rich insight into the Rwandan culture.
